Brooke Jordan thought her Christmas was going to be boring, particularly since she’s stuck working in Montego Bay, Jamaica, instead of home in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her family. Paradise isn’t paradise when you’re not where you want to be, but this Christmas is anything but uneventful. Three airplanes land on the island and Brooke finds herself in exchanges that cause love, temptation, and HATE to surface.
Marcus Thompson has pain in his past, but he’s decided it’s time to try love again. A widowed orphan from a wealthy family, he’s alienated from his grandfather and wants a family of his own. His feelings for Brooke can’t be denied, but she won’t give him a chance to prove he’s not the playboy she thinks he is.
Though she finds Marcus tempting, Brooke is determined to get off the island without falling for his charms. The two people she trusted the most betrayed her in the worse way, and she isn’t prepared to risk love again. But when her worst enemy stands on her doorstep needing the generosity that has always been a part of Brooke’s character, she begins to question who she is and what she’s allowed heartbreak to do to her. Will she let anger and hate take over and turn her into someone else? Or will she find that even in her pain, she has the capacity to give?

Loved it and would most definitely recommend it. Story here deserved more than a five star rating but that's all we have to work with. There were so many points made in this story that I don't know where to begin. The love and commitment to family was one obvious one, pride in being successful was another, being a disciple of Christ even in the worst of circumstances and even when you don't want to also ranked high on the list of character points for me. The need to forgive in order to move on was a very strong message well received. Learning to love again and learning to love yourself in the face of pain was high on the list as well. This was one of the most morally correct stories I have read in a while even though Christian fiction is one of my favorite genres, these people collectively represented the epitome of what we should all be striving for at such a time as this. Excellently written and thoroughly thought out; love this author.Product details

Give A Little Love Jordan Family Book 1 edition by Rhonda McKnight Felicia Murrell Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
I really enjoyed this story. Brooke and Marcus were such real characters that you couldn't help but to relate. I mean I was asking myself, "Could I really forgive my best friend?" I am a firm believer in you reap what you sow (insider...read to see what I mean). I found myself shouting at Brooke "Will she stop it with the pity party!" and "Open your eyes girl!" The male character of Marcus is so real. While reading Give a Little Love, you will root for Brooke, fall in love with Marcus, and laugh and high five Cree. McKnight hit it out the park again. I am re-reading this story and I recommend you read it a first )!
I loved this story.Brooke was stuck in Jamaica working while all her family was in North Carolina getting ready for the holidays. Brooke comes from a very close family , so being without them for Christmas was going to be extra tough.
Marcus has been in love with Brooke since their one day some time ago, but because of "issues" Brooke is not willing to mix business with pleasure.
Throw in some drama from the past resurfacing and you have one heck of a story about love, faith and forgiveness. I also loved that although it was a short story, it was a complete story!
I definitely recommend this book by Rhonda McKnight
What an amazing little gentle reminder of the power of forgiveness! Forgiveness is more about freeing yourself and opening your heart to more possibilities! I love this story and have fallen in love with the Jordan family! The author did an amazing job of developing the characters and laying out a good sound Christian foundation without being preachy! Can't wait to read more about the Jordans!
I started this book last Christmas and got side tracked. I always like a good Christmas love story. Rhonda's did not disappoint me. She kinda of ended it with a I know she didn't just stop right there. It was funny, sad, forgiveness and a little mystery with the homeless lady. I recommend reading this book. Rhonda's well done.
Beautiful and engaging story! It was a quick read, which I loved, however I wanted more. I loved the way the writer weaves the chemistry between Marcus and Brooke. I am also fond of the sister, Cree. She reminds me of someone. Haha. I read this in a day because I wanted to see how Marcus and Brooke would finally get together. Also kudos to the author for showing how faith can help you in even the most heartbreaking situations.
This novel touched on all three emotions (love, desire and hate). Love - Brooke has a strong bond with her family (parents, siblings, etc) that she treasures dearly. Desire - Brooke tries not to fall for Marcus' charms - but he is good for her as he attempts to prove that he wants to develop a meaningful relationship with her (I enjoyed the comradery between the two). Hate - Brooke experienced betrayal from two people she trusted. Brooke is trying desperately to move on but with all that she has endured, she struggles to forgive the wrongs done to her. The author does an awesome job in developing the characters (main and secondary). The storyline is also well written and authentic.
Give A Little Love was an excellent read about love, faith and forgiveness! I fell in love with the Jordan family. Brooke has been hurt and deeply wounded by two people that she loved and were close to her. They need her help...Can she find it in her heart to forgive and move on from the past. Rhonda brings Brooke's story to life in a fun, fulfilling page turner. I even got a few chuckles in. I read this book in 1 setting. I look forward to the other books in this series!
