Loved this book. This is the 2nd book in Nights In Venice and it is one you do not want to put down. It features small snapshots of Lucia and Antonio from book 1 but follows Enzo as he finds love. A very enjoyable, very steamy read that I wasn't able to put down.Product details

Review for An Heiress in Venice by Tara Crescent
An Heiress in Venice is the second book in Tara Crescent’s Nights in Venice series, each can be read as a standalone, but they are both great so read them in order!
Alice is on the run. After her husband died life has been a mixture of sadness and struggle. Every time she tried to move forward, there was a presence warning her that she wasn’t allowed. Fed up with living in fear she flees to Venice — a place where her parents honeymooned and spoke fondly of. She’s ready to finally get her fresh start …
Enzo is an Inspector for the local police force and based on what he knows about their newest resident he expects she will be nothing but trouble. He has no patience for drama and it seems to follow the American Heiress everywhere she goes…
The chemistry between the characters is smoldering. When they run into each other at the BDSM club Casanova sparks fly! Enzo is the perfect mix of gentleman and Dom … I adore his need to not only play at Casanova, but to have a fulfilling relationship beyond the club.
I’m not going into anymore details of the storyline because you need to read it in order to fully appreciate the fine details, and you know me, no spoilers! You get a full story smashed into this novella, Crescent never ceases to amaze me with her ability to make me feel like I got everything I needed from the story with a quarter of the words as a full length novel— a true testament to how amazing she is.
Four stars for a great storyline with several twists you may not see coming and four drenched panties for a super sexy Dom and the delicious smut his character provides.
Review by the Head Whore at Mommy’s a Book Whore.
Romance, sex, submission, and mystery...
Everything I love about Tara Crescent rolled up in one scorching hot novella!
The Nights in Venice series is shaping up to be a total knockout - each book is a standalone and spotlights a different couple. The central characters - Antonio, Enzo, & Tatiana are all Venetian orphans who grew up together. Each of them took wildly different paths with their lives, but their bond remains strong.
We met Antonio (head of the Thieves Guild) in the last book, and we'll get to know Tatiana (The Starlet) in book three, but this installment was all about Enzo and an American Heiress hiding out in Venice.
Alice fled her life in Texas to start fresh in the beautiful city of Venice. After her husband died several years ago (and left her with an obscene amount of money) she shut herself off from the world... She was constantly in the tabloids, harassed by her late husband's ex-wife, and was sent threatening letters...
Venice represented rebirth for Alice, but then the letters started coming - slipped under her door with threatening messages. When an unknown intruder nearly broke into her apartment, the police were called.
Alice wants nothing to do with the cops in Venice; she figures they'll treat her the same as the cops in Texas - placating the spoiled heiress and not taking her seriously. What she didn't count on was Chief Inspector Enzo Peron...
Enzo is sent over to assure Venice's newest celebrity that the police are doing everything in their power to catch the person who tried to break into her apartment.
The connection between these two was immediate and unwanted by both parties.
- Enzo shouldn't get involved with a victim - especially one as high-profile as Ms. Blackwood...
- Alice brings danger to any man she sees socially - she's learned her lesson from past experiences...
Chief Inspector Peron decides that the perfect solution to get Alice Blackwell out of his head, is to spend the evening at Casanova - the exclusive BDSM Club. He did not count on the American heiress walking through the door...
As fate would have it, Alice Blackwell secured a membership to Club Casanova as soon as she arrived in Venice. She's tired of living in fear and ready to give up control to someone else - even if just for one night. If her stalker is determined to kill her, why shouldn't she live what's left of her life to the fullest?
Enzo is a fabulous character - he's dominant but not overbearing, protective but not controlling outside of a scene. He knows that Alice is afraid of something, and he quietly waits for her to open herself to him. Enzo doesn't usually mix with inexperienced submissives, but his connection to Alice cannot be ignored.
He begins training Alice at Club Casanova where the outside world doesn't intrude on their relationship - just a man and a woman exploring their limits and building trust.
I love how Tara Crescent writes these mature characters with such grace - it's so easy to get absorbed in their stories when there's no immaturity or unnecessary angst to contend with.
I'm anxiously awaiting the next book!
The novel was ok for the most part. However it was very short and lacked depth. I wish there would have been more to the plot.
Great book, you almost feel like you are there and want to warn her about someone stalking her. You want to tellher to just tell her cop friend what is going on and you just know that he can help Great book, getting ready to read the last book in; the series, hope it is as good as this one
Reading Tara Crescent's stories is always a good experience! The talented Ms Crescent strikes again with this tale of mystery and debauchery. A transplanted heiress from Houston finds her way to Venice to make a new life after the death of her husband. But mystery and love collide in this offering!
Alice on the run from an unknown stalker who keeps her from having a man in her life. Since her husband died 3 years ago there have been threats against any man she dates and threats on her life as well. The police have laughed at her and the tabloids have mocked her as a gold digger just looking for attention. Now she has run away to Venice to start over, but will the threats follow. The chief inspector arrives after an attempted break in at her apartment, just as a formality. But when he see's her he see's beyond the exterior to the scared woman behind the mask.
Can she trust him, let him close, what about the threats. She can not allow anyone to be hurt because of her, but she longs for love and maybe a little domination as well.
Loved this book. This is the 2nd book in Nights In Venice and it is one you do not want to put down. It features small snapshots of Lucia and Antonio from book 1 but follows Enzo as he finds love. A very enjoyable, very steamy read that I wasn't able to put down.
